All You Magazine Deal $25 for 30 issues

I have been asked before for deals on All You subscriptions. Here is a link to a current deal:

  • $25 for 30 issues (a 67% savings). That's only 83 cents an issue, and more than $1 off the price at Walmart. $10 of your purchase prices will also be donated to tornado relief for the recent tornados victims in the midwest and south.

  • In addition to the above deal, buy before Monday June 27 and also get

For a purchase of 2 subscriptions (minimum cost of $10 per subscription), supporters will receive a $25 Restaurant.com ecertificate (minimum cost of $10 per subscription)

For a purchase of 3 subscriptions (minimum cost of $10 per subscription), supporters will receive a $50 Restaurant.com ecertificate

** Important for All You buyers that want to double up: If would like to buy multiple subscriptions of the same magazine to receive at the same time, they will need to put different names on the subscription (address can be the same), otherwise it will be treated as consecutive subscriptions.

What is All You? A great women's magazine full of helpful tips, recipes, crafts, ideas, and deals. Best of all there are coupons! These are exclusive high value coupons, each magazine usually has about $100 worth! I like to read this magazine too. It is a real mom's magazine, with recipe ingredients that I have on hand and fashion choices I can afford.

If you have been waiting, now is the time to subscribe! You will get a great magazine and donate to a worthy cause at the same time.

Deal or No Deal?

Free Fred's Hot Sauce...deal!

Having to clean it up after it shatters with glass and sticky sauce, no deal! And since no one in my house except me really likes hot sauce, this was definitely a NO DEAL!

This is how my week is going...I am also heading to vacation for the next 10 days, so posts will be sporadic and I probably will not get to the store matchups. Please check my side bar for your favorite store updates.

$5 Food Storage: Week 8

This week's item is:

  • 5 lbs powdered milk

This is a product that has gone way up in price since this list was written. The cheapest I found in town was $22.49 for 5 lbs at Sherms. You might want to buy this item in bulk and large cans, since these cans can be stored for up to 20 years.

Two of these sites are:

Honeyville Grain, 4 lbs can for $13.99, $4.99 shipping

or Sam's Club 6 cans (4 lbs) for $54.62, shipping $7.94 (not sure about membership?)

If you are LDS, you might also want to check with your ward food storage specialist, right now the price for a 4 lbs can is $8.60.

The price of this long storage type of food has gone up significantly in recent years, remember to consider this an investment, but also buy what you can afford and add according to your budget .

Also this week, you might want to catch up on other weeks (or buy for future weeks) on these items:

  • Rite Aid, St. Johns Aspirin 36 count bottle $1.50, get $1.50 + Up=so free (limit of 2)

$5 Food Storage (Not really): Week 7

I have no idea how old my list is, but the $5 part does not pertain to this week, sorry. This weeks item is

  • 100 lbs of wheat (per 2 people)

Wheat prices have skyrocketed in the past few years and I suspect they will continue to rise. Some sites have wheat listed as "out of stock". I am not sure holding off is the smart thing, but spend what you can afford. Every little bit will help, lots of sites I have looked at also have "monthly shipment" features, which allow you to get certain food storage items every month with an automatic order and payment schedule. All that being said, I have looked at a lot of food storage sites I have used in the past and here are the best prices:

  • Honeyville Grains $48.99/50 lbs plus shipping

  • BePrepared $46.95/50 lbs, order 4 or more price drops to $39.95, shipping $12

  • Sherms has it in the bulk bins for 69 cents/lb, although it is a limited quantity available and it is not canned.

  • Again if you are LDS, please check with your local bishop's storehouse to get a good price.

Another tip, ask grocery stores for their used 5 gallon buckets, especially at the deli and bakery counters. They may sell cheaply or even give you these buckets. They are great to store wheat and other grains in. You may also wish to buy some gamma lids to seals these buckets and make the contents easier to use.

Anyone have some tips for dry canning wheat, or where to get wheat, buckets, or lids? Please leave a comment.

Expo Markers House Party

Friday was House Party day! House Party is one of my favorite "finds" since I began my couponing/freebies journey. The idea is hundreds of household across the country, has a house party with the contents of the kits provided. The gives companies a chance to actually put the products in the hand of consumers to try and the best part, it is all for FREE! There is no selling, pitches, or obligation involved. Afterwords, you simply fill out a small survey, and by small I mean less than 5 minutes. It is a great program and who doesn't like an excuse to have a party. This time we did it a little different since it is finally starting to look like summer around here, I decided we were sick of the house and we went to my favorite park.

The goodies, Expo white boards, two sizes of markers and erasers for all the guests. The best part is these markers are washable. They have already been on my walls, table, and children and it simply wipes off with a little bit of water. I am so glad for that, because I hate marker messes.

It was a fun Friday afternoon in beautiful Oregon. If you would like to apply to host your own house party, head over here.
