Family fun freebies in the Roseburg, OR area this week are:

1. Movie at Stewart Park at 7:30 (set-up) The Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Details here.
2. Umpqua Valley Arts Festival, all weekend, Stewart Park. Saturday is Family Day. Art, entertainment, booths, and raffles. Info here.
3. Music on the Half Shell also Stewart Park Tuesdays at 7:00. (set-up early) Jonatha Brooke is performing this week. Details here.
4. Library, story time at 10:30 am and 4:00 pm make a Silly Sea Creature.

2. Friday @ 8:00 pm Drive-In Movie at Douglas County Museum, Shrek, More info here
3. Saturday @ 1-3 PM Museum in the Park at Stewart Park. Day camp for kids ages 6-12, you do have to register (541) 957-7007. More info here
4. Thursday at the library, 10:30 Story Hour, 4:00 PM make a Waterfall Book. Also remember the to sign up for the summer reading program, free books and prizes all summer long.

Free Family Fun!

This is mainly a local post, (Roseburg, OR) but I am scouting out free family activities this summer. I know I need all the help I can get! They usually send home notes for these things from school, but if you don't have any in school yet, it is hard to find out about these. Here is what is free this week in Douglas County:

1. Friday, Stewart Park, Movie: The Blind Side 7:30 pm (set up and entertainment) movie begins at 9:30 More info here
   
   
   2. Saturday, Free Fishing Day in Oregon, no license needed, more info here . Depending on the site, there may also be raffles, food, prizes, and extra fun for the kids.
   
   
   3. Douglas County Library has several free kids programs. Summer Reading program, each child will receive a book and prizes for reading. Also every Thursday at 10:30 is story hour. The kids enjoy stories/songs/crafts all related to a fun theme. Next Thursday, June 17th at 4:00 pm, there is a special summer event, Sand Painting.
