- 100 lbs of wheat (per 2 people)
Wheat prices have skyrocketed in the past few years and I suspect they will continue to rise. Some sites have wheat listed as "out of stock". I am not sure holding off is the smart thing, but spend what you can afford. Every little bit will help, lots of sites I have looked at also have "monthly shipment" features, which allow you to get certain food storage items every month with an automatic order and payment schedule. All that being said, I have looked at a lot of food storage sites I have used in the past and here are the best prices:
- http://store.honeyvillegrain.com/search.aspx?find=wheat"><> style="font-size:130%;">Honeyville Grains $48.99/50 lbs plus shipping
- http://www.blogger.com/%3Ca%20href= $46.95/50 lbs, order 4 or more price drops to $39.95, shipping $12
- Sherms has it in the bulk bins for 69 cents/lb, although it is a limited quantity available and it is not canned.
- Again if you are LDS, please check with your local bishop's storehouse to get a good price.
Another tip, ask grocery stores for their used 5 gallon buckets, especially at the deli and bakery counters. They may sell cheaply or even give you these buckets. They are great to store wheat and other grains in. You may also wish to buy some.

I am still here...
I have to go to the bus stop 3 times a day. Mind you the bus stop is at least 7 minutes from my house, so going there and back takes at least 1/2 hour out of my day each time. If, I mean when I go to town everyday, it is 20 minutes each way and so even the simpliest "quick trip" takes an hour.
We also have preschool, dance (two times), soccer practice (two times), soccer games, gymnastics, piano lessons, and activity days. Busy does not even describe it.
The casualties of all this "Super Soccer Mom" stuff, my coupon blog. I love to coupon, and I love to blog (I also have a personal blog). However the culmination of the two (dealsbydawn) is taking a backseat right now. I still plan on keeping up with my Rite Aid Recap, my $5 Food Storage series, and some deals. For right now though, if I don't get the store matchups posted...just assume I am at a soccer game or piano lesson and just being mom. Thanks for reading and understanding.

Fly Lady: Day 31
So my little organizing/cleaning experiment is over, or just getting started. I have made real progress. Here is what has improved,
*My dishes situation, I am always caught up now and my sink is shining still!
*Laundry, for the most part I have been doing way better on staying caught up on laundry!
*Getting up and dressed early
*Making my bed in the am
Here are the things I am going to work on next...
*My control journal, I broke down and ordered one because I think it will help me keep on track better. (There are also 19 baby steps for the control journal).
*Doing the 15 minutes of declutter everyday.
*Progressing to the Zones!
I think and my husband would agree that progress has been made. I am very proud of myself! I am flying. Thanks for reading all of these crazy posts! Did you learn anything, did you implement anything into your routine? From time to time I will give you an update, but the daily posts are done for now. :)

A control journal is where you write down your routines and how you keep on track. You know I love lists and writing stuff down. There is another baby step series for getting your control journal put together. I think I will start that one after I finish the baby steps. One thing I like about it, is that is has an emergency preparation section. I also love how Monday-Friday is your work days, Saturday is family fun day, and Sunday is renew your spirit day.

Fly Lady: Day 17
I have been going to bed way too late...it has something to do with the house finally being quiet, me enjoying my down time, and one of my favorite shows that is on "after dark". With all that being said, my new bedtime is going to be 11:00. That may have to start after schools starts though, now guarantees.
By the way does anyone know why on the East Coast and West Coast it is the 11 o'clock news and everywhere else it is the 10 o'clock news. I much prefer 10 o'clock because then if I want to watch Jay Leno, I am not up past midnight.
