Need your input please...

I am doing a short presentation on saving money at the grocery store for my RS group tomorrow. (Anyone in the "greater" Roseburg area is invited...) Since I only have a few minutes I want to get across the best ideas. So please comment, even if you never have, I am looking for lots of opinions. Question:

What is the best shopping tip you use (besides coupons) to save money?

and/or

What is something you wish someone had told you about shopping years ago?

Thanks, any and all comments greatly appreciated!

  1. I wish I had known about Rite Aid all these years I've been living in the city! And the best thing I've found is all the blogs that do all the work for you! All I ever have to do is find my coupons and head to the store.

  2. Use store and manufacturer coupons. Price match items and check out the clearance/ managers special items.

  3. The advice I have is to let others do the work for you. Follow blogs that share local deals. That way you don't have to spend time going thru the ads but you can still get the bargains.

  4. Thanks for the great comments, all things I wished I new when we were poor grad students years ago. Especially Rite Aid, I can't believe it took me so long to find that one.
